The online blueprint reading course is designed to be completed Online via our Virtual Campus. It includes video lessons, reading assignments, blueprints, tests and quizzes that can all be completed online and at your own pace. Graduates will understand elevations, details, section views, floor plans, plot plans and other parts of drawings. We will introduce students to the symbols used to show building materials, review specifications of a one family dwelling and its construction details. They will also learn about different types of framing construction as well as being able to understand a CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) generated set of prints of a commercial building.
